Morrisonville American Legion
Scouts BSA Troop 74 is a combined Scout Troop chartered by the American Legion Post 721 out of Morrisonville, IL.
The combined troop allows both boys and girls to be part of the same unit and participate in the same activities with having just one set of youth leader. Adult volunteers are available for supervision and guidance, with at least one female leader over the age of 21 present at all meetings and activities.
Troop 74's vision is to offer a program that lives up to the promise of all that Scouting can be.
Boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 17 years are warmly welcomed and invited to attend a Troop meeting, meet the other Scouts, and discover what Scouting is all about. Troop 74 is an active Troop that holds at least one camping trip or outdoor-related activity every month. We participate in the multiple fundraisers including Krispy Kreme doughnut sales and Pork Chop sandwiches, a week-long summer camp during the summer, and in numerous other service projects, merit badge fairs, and other outings.
We offer our scouts opportunities to build lifelong relationship with other scouts. Scouts that go through our program gain life skills such as public speaking, leadership and a whole lot of outdoor skills. Scouting is more than camping, so come and see what our troop has to offer you!
