Scouting is safer than ever before. Leaders and parents alike are trained in Scouts BSA's "SAFE Scouting Measures" and "Youth Protection Training."

Be Prepared.

Scouts BSA Mission

To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Learn more at www.scouting.org.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Scouting builds leaders. Former Scouts walk the halls of the White House and have been known to go hiking on the moon occasionally. Life lessons learned in Scouting will help all of its members make good decisions throughout life.

SERVICE

The Scout slogan is "Do a Good Turn Daily." That means doing something to help others each day without expecting anything in return. It implies that Scouts do their part in caring for the community and the environment.

PERSONAL GROWTH

As Scouts plan activities and progress toward goals, they experience personal growth. Young men and women grow by participating in community service projects and by doing a Good Turn daily.

ADVENTURE

Scouts BSA is an introduction to the great outdoors for boys and girls ages 11 through 17 and, most important, a lesson about their place in it.

Special thanks to our charter organization,
American Legion Post 721!

Troop 74's Eagle Scouts

The award is a performance-based achievement whose standards have been well-maintained over the years. Not every scout who joins a Scouts BSA troop earns the Eagle Scout rank; only about 4 percent of all Scouts BSA do so. This represents more than 2 million Scouts BSA who have earned the rank since 1911. Nevertheless, the goals of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness—remain important for all Scouts, whether or not they attain the Eagle Scout rank.

Over the years Troop 74 has been a part of the scouting lives of many scouts.

The first troop in Morrisonville was chartered over 89 years ago and has proudly seen as of date 47 Scouts make the Rank of Eagle Scout.
